Learn MoreI just purchased your fundamentals and landscape masterclass and wanted to let you know what helped me to immediately make my ‘buy’ decision. It was your email titled “Which Variation to Paint”, and specifically, your description of the color of the water, the effect of the light on the water, and the thought process you used to decide which version of the pebble beach scene to paint.
I was originally interested in your work and education offerings because you focus on landscapes and use an impressionist style, and that’s exactly what I want to learn to paint. But it was your attention to the specific details of each photo that was eerily familiar to me, and that’s what convinced me you would be the right art teacher to learn from.
Many years ago I was a member of an amatuer photography club and at our monthly meetings I led a discussion about the photos that members had submitted for our ‘shoot out’ competition. I focused on pointing out the uniqueness and interesting details of each photo, rather than any kind of discussion that involved a judgement of the individual photo or the skill of the photographer. But I always wondered if I was a bit abnormal for enjoying so much the nuances and details of each photo. You have confirmed for me that there are others who DO see and enjoy exploring this level of visual detail. Thank you – Deb
